One of two school projects we have commenced for Brighton and Hove City Council.
This project is for the design and construction of two new build extensions, three science rooms and a new school reception space which will allow the school to take in an additional form of entry.
One extension will provide additional dining space plus two classrooms, which will be built on top of the existing structures. The second will provide an art room and two teaching classrooms which will be built over an existing single storey structure within a courtyard.
All works will be carried out while the school is in operation.
Site Manager, Ian Lock, has decided to set up a site reward scheme, with a monthly winner! The site foremen and Westridge site team nominate candidates with Ian making the final decision.
Their latest winner is Brad Fitzgerald, receiving an Argos voucher for ‘consistent commitment to best practice, helpful attitude and high standards of health and safety’.
Well done Brad!
It’s National Apprenticeship Week and we are proud to say that through the highs and the lows we have consistently maintained our annual intake of apprentices and trainees.
Our people are our most important asset and if we look after them well, they will look after our business and ensure our continued success.
Approximately 10% of our workforce are trade apprentices or management trainees working through extensive programmes and furthering their careers.
Our first ever apprentice, David Oliver, who was employed at the Company’s inception has recently become a Director of the Company, confirming that the possibilities are endless at Westridge.
Happy National Apprenticeship Week #BuildingTheFuture
Demolition works have commenced at Hollingdean Road, Brighton to make way for new student accommodation, which is very much needed in the area.
We are delighted to be working with CKC Properties providing 2 no, five storey, steel frame buildings to accommodate 99 studio rooms all with en-suite bathrooms.
The new development is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating and is due to complete in the Summer of 2022.
We are proud to be part of this landmark development of 8 two and three bedroom townhouses and 7 holiday homes in the heart of Whitstable.
Each property overlooks the beach with panoramic sea views across Whitstable Bay.
The development has been traditionally constructed with black timber weatherboarding and zinc roofing to keep in style with the local area. The new homes have been built to a high end specification including specialist kitchens and bathrooms and glass balustrades.
Works have included an under croft car park, public realm works and a retail kiosk.

The site team at Grove Park Nursing Home are delighted to have raised over £1000 for BHT’s First Base Day Centre for rough sleepers in Brighton and Hove. The whole team including our supply chain and consultants provided amazing raffle prizes and generous donations.
The organiser behind it all was Steve Goodall, Site Manager who continues to pride himself in his involvement with the local community and consideration towards his site neighbours on every site he works on.
Congratulations to our Site Manager, Jason Saunders and his team. The project at Whitehill Lane for Gravesham Council has received the LABC Site Recognition Award for “quality of the site wide workmanship and management” and is truly deserved.
Once completed, the project will provide 32 much needed affordable homes in the area.
