Churchfields Business Centre

Working with Hastings Borough Council we have been instructed to design and build a BREEAM Certified Business Centre in the St Leonards area.

The two-storey project will include 29 new business incubator units for small businesses and start-ups. These units will range from 315.6 sqft to 323.8 sqft in size.

The site will include a new access road and onsite parking, consisting of several electric vehicle charging points with an emphasis on sustainable construction methods and materials.

External works will incorporate below ground drainage running beneath the car park to a small pond which will provide habitats for insects and wildlife.

The solar PV green roof allows the site to merge with the neighbouring ancient woodland creating a harmonious balance between the new development and the surrounding area.

The business units will benefit from both horizontal and vertical sun tubes which will illuminate the building with natural light, providing a more comfortable working environment and reducing the need for artificial lighting, with the advantage of reduced emissions and running costs.
